Tenavant does one thing: manages cloud commitment discounts for mid‑market companies, including making the purchases. It is deliberately not a software company and deliberately not a large one.
Why it exists
Commitment discounts are worth real money and nobody owns them
At most mid‑market companies, cloud commitments sit in a gap. Finance does not have the detail to make the call. Engineering has the detail but has more urgent work and no reason to care about billing mechanics. So the decision either does not get made, or it gets made once, badly, and then nobody revisits it.
Large companies solve this by hiring a team. Small companies do not have enough spend for it to matter. In between, there is a real amount of money going unclaimed, and the work needed to claim it is steady, unglamorous and genuinely specialized.
That is the whole reason this practice exists.
How engagements run
One person, start to finish
Every engagement is handled by one person: the analysis, the recommendation, and the purchases themselves.
There is no account team and no handoff. The person who makes the recommendation is the person who executes it, and the person you call if something needs to change. For a service whose whole job is committing your money on your behalf, that seems like the least you should expect.
How we work
Three commitments we make in writing
- Nothing is purchased without your written approval Every recommendation is written down, every approval is kept, and the trail is available to you at any time.
- Savings are always reported net of every fee Including ours. Our report should reconcile against your actual bill.
- The fee is fixed and agreed up front We do not take a share of your savings, so the advice does not get more expensive when it works.
